Welcome Class of 2028

This is my 22nd move-in at JU, and it gets better every year; it's the most exciting day to welcome our new students and our families, everyone's in great spirits, excited to be on campus, and we love welcoming everyone.

My first day moving in was really chaotic as a freshman, so if I can help mitigate that stress and be like, guys, you got this, we're going to get you guys in and out.

I’m super thrilled this is the last kid, the baby, he is the last, and we're dropping him off here at JU. Now, we're local to Jacksonville, so he can always come back home, but it's still just surreal not to have him at home and drop him off, and I'm probably going to cry when I leave here.

Good evening, everyone. Welcome to the 2024 undergraduate matriculation ceremony. Understand, when you're here, be proud of representing your family, representing your city, representing your high school, and representing yourself.

And so, it is with all of you, this very special class of 2028, it's our hope that you'll be a shining light to others, a glow that welcomes and illuminates for us and for the world.
